SEATCA representatives from four Asian countries visit JMC

Jose Maria College, still named as the best “Smoke Free” school was visited by delegates of the Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance (SEATCA).

The delegates come from four countries in the ASEAN (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia and Vietnam who are here in Davao City for a study visit to learn 

on the importance of enforcing smoke-free policies and discuss possible challenges and finally develop strategies and plans to implement a smoke-free policy in their own countries.

The Supreme Student Government (SSG) of the College Department welcomed the team headed by Dr. Domilyn C. Villareiz, Co-chairperson of the Davao Anti-smoking Task Force. The team had a quick tour of the Jose Maria College premises to observe the implementation of the non-smoking policy. The college SSG also presented JMCs Anti-smoking program accomplishments and smoke – free initiatives.
