23 April 2018:

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, April 23 (PIA) — The provincial board here has approved the Anti-Vaping Ordinance considering its threat to human health.

Vice Governor Lambert Galima, Jr. said the ordinance has been included in the prohibited acts under the Smoke-Free Ordinance which was earlier approved by the provincial board in 2010.

“The new ordinance was signed by Governor Carlos Padilla last March 28 and it is now undergoing publication before its full implementation,” Galima said.

Under the new ordinance, Galima said vaping in public among children, minors and adults will be prohibited and violators will be penalized correspondingly.

He added that aside from the “No Smoking” signage, the ordinance also requires person in-charge of public places and public conveyances to place the “No Vaping” symbol in locations most visible to the public. (ALM/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
