SEATCA’s FCTC Program Director Dr. Ulysses Dorotheo has been chosen to be part of the twenty-five member-Civil Society Working Group on the third UN High-level Meeting on NCDs. 

The working group’s aim is to advise the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on mobilizing civil society in a meaningful manner to advocate for a highly successful high-level meeting of the UN General Assembly on NCDs this 2018. 

NCD Alliance CEO Katie Dain and co-chair of this initiative expressed in a statement that the members’ broad networks will ensure comprehensive and constructive collaboration, and a united civil society mobilizing for the strongest possible outcomes from the UN HLM on NCDs over the coming months and beyond. LIST of members can be viewed here.
