Thailand, Singapore will require standardized packaging of tobacco products soon

14 December 2018: Thailand’s Standardized Packaging Regulation was published in the official gazette. The new law will beging to take effect after nine (9) months (8 December 2019). All cigarette products in Thailand will be sold in drab brown colored packs and cigarette brand names will not be more than four millimeters in height and will be printed in a standardized font, type, size, color, and location.  SEATCA Press Release 

31 October 2018: Singapore’s Ministry of Health announced that it will introduce standardized packaging with larger graphic health warnings at 75% of package surface for all tobacco products to reduce the appeal of smoking. SEATCA Press Release
