YOUTH AMBASSADOR IN ACTION
Indonesia
Indonesian youth ambassadors participated in a policy discussion on youth smoking, engaging alongside civil society organizations RUKKI and Lentera Anak, as well as government representatives from the Children’s Rights Fulfillment Policy Division.
Lao PDR
Lao PDR Youth Ambassadors raised awareness about the dangers of smoking and vaping to their peers during the University of Health Sciences Open House 2026. When young people understand the risks early, they are less likely to start and more likely to protect their friends and families.
Youth in Lao PDR celebrated World No Tobacco Day 2026 through songs, poster-making, video challenges, and interactive booths that highlighted the fight against nicotine and tobacco addiction.

Malaysia
In Malaysia, youth ambassadors worked with secondary students to teach the harms of smoking and vaping, who then shared these messages with event visitors and gave talks on “Unmasking the Appeal.” They also ran an interactive booth under SEATCA’s TID initiative, which was visited by YB Hilmi Bin Abdullah in support of the effort.
Malaysian youth are rejecting the lies of the tobacco industry that threaten their future. Youth ambassador Syarah led an outreach booth engaging fellow young people and parents to raise awareness about how the tobacco industry manipulates and targets communities.
