Youth training workshop on TAPS ban held in Indonesia

22 November 2016:

Indonesia has a new generation of dynamic young people called Young Innovators who are calling upon the Indonesian President and the government to protect their generation from the harms of tobacco. Recently, Lentera Anak gathered 17 of these youths from several cities together in Bogor where they participated in a training workshop on TAPS ban.

SEATCA’s Senior Policy Advisor, Dr. Mary Assunta, the resource person for the workshop walked the youth through practice sessions on advocating a TAPS ban to local policy makers. Following the workshop, the youths met with the press agency ANTARA news and made an appeal to the President’s Staff at his Office.
